If I had a dollar for every time I've been asked or told these things:
-I want to be you one day!
-I wish I had all of this!
-Do you need an intern?
-Can you teach me how to do this?
-How did you get all this?
-Who did you buy your equipment from?
-What suppliers do you use?
I wouldn't have to run my business, I'd be able to retire now!
The secret is, there is no secret!
I get up every day and put my socks & shoes on like everyone else. The key is, I get up! EVERY DAY! Whether I want to or not. Whether I have tons of orders or only one order.
Everyday for the past 3 years, I have been consistent. I have been intentional with my time. I have made processes, created boundaries and stuck to them.
You see the success because it is visible. Growth is visible, its trackable. What you don't see are all of the failures, all of the fears, all of the bad days, all of the hurdles and hurts that have created scars BUT have also produced beautiful fruit and flowers!
No one showed me how to build a business. No one told me what products to buy. No one invested in me or my business model, no business loans/grants, no financial backers, no silent partners. I didn't have a place to walk into and scope out all of the things they were doing and what they had to make them successful. I didn't have anyone in my corner that would share their suppliers and every tip and trick in the book. I had to research and figure everything out with the help of my friend google and sometimes, it wasn't very helpful at all and led me in circles, chasing my tail! I had to just try and fail and try and fail until I found what worked and what didn't. I didn't have time to wait for other people and rely on their information, if I would've waited on everyone else, I NEVER would've started!
Then I became confident, BUT confidence isn't what got me success. Success made me confident.
You can have all the equipment & all the ingredients & if you aren't willing to put in the work to research and try things and figure out what works for you, it's likely that you won't find success. Success isn't given, it's earned. It's hustle. It's hard. It's grit. It's determination. It's doing hard things and learning to perfect your craft, even when everyone else is doing it and selling more for less. It's slow steady growth, over time, being consistent not depending on one viral moment.
There are hundreds of people out there who have done it before. There is so much knowledge out there now, that was not available to me when I started my journey, if you want it- you can find it!
Easily!
You owe it to yourself to put in the work!
